Practical information
Course location: Haut JuraGiron (01).
Duration of the course: from 14 to 16February 2019. 3 days (from Friday 5:00 pm to Sunday 3:30 pm).
Meeting time: theold one in the evening depending on your arrival time (between 5pm and 10pm).
Friday evening bedding: Gîte la Grangede l'Errance (01).
Meals provided: Friday evening meal, Saturday morning breakfast and Sunday lunch.
Course of events
Day 1: Cold Weather Survival Course
Learn the basics of survival.
Learn about the dangers of cold weather.
Igloo construction (night in igloos).
Learning how to make fire without a lighter.
Finding water and making it drinkable.
Finding edible wild berries.
Topography and constellations.
Tips and tricks.
Day 2: First aid in hostile environment and topographical course
Initiation 1st aid in hostile environment.
Topographical course, you will learn how to spot yourself with a map and a compass.
Return to the Gîte de la Grange de l'Errance.
Meals (Morbiflette.....).
End of the course at 3.30 pm.
Special terms
It is possible to do the privatization internship on request for groups of 8 people minimum, please write to us to choose a date.
It is possible to rent with our partner a cold down duvet and specialised shoes.
