Perfect for an introduction to canyoning, the Pixta canyon is a unique way to discover the beauty of the Basque Country from Tardets!
Meet Goudurix in Tardets, about an hour's drive from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and Pau, and discover canyoning in the Basque Country! Suitable for beginners wishing to try canyoning, this descent of the Pixta canyon will allow you to take your first steps in canyoning in complete serenity, with the accompaniment of an experienced guide.
The descent of the Pixta canyon lasts around 4 hours, but you'll spend the whole day getting to know the canyon and familiarising yourself with canyoning. On the programme: abseils of up to 10 m, jumps and slides! You'll travel through the magnificent gorges d'Holzarte, accompanied by a qualified guide who will be on hand to guide you through this aquatic adventure! Whatever your level, he'll be able to adapt to your situation to guarantee you the best canyoning experience in the Basque Country!
For this activity, you will be welcomed by the instructor, who will then give you a short briefing on the Pixta canyon. You will then be equipped with a full neoprene wetsuit, helmet, neoprene socks and harness. Finally, you'll embark on your day's introduction to canyoning by descending the Pixta canyon with your instructor. In a group of no more than 10 people, you'll discover the classic canyoning obstacles in a sublime natural setting!
