Surfing lessons in Lacanau
Try a group or private surfing lesson, the duration of each lesson is 2 hours, 1.5 hours of which will be spent in the water.
Practical information
2 hour lesson of which 1.5 hours will be spent in the water
Programme:
- Students are welcomed at the surf school by the admin team
- Each student is geared up with all necessary equipment adapted to their surfing level
- Accompanied to the beach by the admin team and introduced to your instructor
- Warm up
Theory, you’ll be quizzed about:
- General surfing know-how
- Water currents
- Sandbanks
- Security regulations
- Take-off techniques
- Practical lesson takes place in the water
- At the end of the lesson you’ll be accompanied back to the surf school
Lesson start times need to be confirmed with Bo & Co, as it will depend on the tide.
The surfing lessons are not available in July and August.

Practical information
Bo & Co propose surfing lessons in Lacanau to help you discover surfing in a safe and secure environment. They use a teaching method that is 100% adapted to you, to help you progress and improve your surfing skills optimally. Thanks to this method, surfing has become a sport that is accessible to everyone, both children and adults alike.
At the end of your lesson your instructor will debrief you about your overall progress and your current surfing level should you want to practice at another school.
Theory lessons
You will work on understanding surfing (water current, sandbank, security regulations, weather etc.)
Your instructor will give you tips about boards best adapted to your level.
Practical lessons
Each lesson lasts a total of 2 hours of which you’ll spend 1.5 hours in the water. The lessons are conducted by top quality state certified instructors who have many years of experience within the surfing field.
Equipment adapted to each student
The wide range of equipment that Bo & Co proposes includes surf boards that will make learning in the water much easier, as they are adapted to the different learning levels and weather conditions.
Whatever the weather or water temperature Bo & Co promises that the Billabong wetsuits they use will keep you warm.
