Discover the thrill of white water rafting down the Durance River from Saint-Clément-sur-Durance, at the gateway to the Ecrins National Park and the Lake of Serre-Ponçon!

Open to children from the age of 5, rafting down the Durance River is an incredible activity to enjoy with family or friends near Embrun. Aboard a 4 to 7-seater inflatable boat, your crew will have to combine technique and coordination to successfully navigate the rapids in your path! You will experience a thrill-packed adventure that will leave you and your crew even closer together, with the desire to repeat this rafting trip down the Durance River, which lasts around 2.5 hours.

Less than an hour's drive from Gap, this refreshing activity from Saint-Clément-sur-Durance takes place in the magnificent setting of the Ecrins National Park, with beautiful mountain peaks in the background. You will enjoy some magnificent scenery as you raft down the Durance River for 15 km, including a short break to enjoy some toasted marshmallows.

Course of events

- Meeting with the team at the Nomad River School base in Saint-Clément-sur-Durance

- Equipment at the base

- Transfer by shuttle bus to the starting point of the rafting trip

- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions

- Boarding in the rafts and setting off on a 2.5-hour rafting trip down the Durance, including a snack of toasted marshmallows on the way

- Arrival at the base, de-equipping and end of the activity
