Activity description

Get away from it all this winter on a high altitude snowshoe hike at the Col de Cenise near Annecy, with your guide Alexandre.

Feel the feeling of freedom while snowshoeing in the mountains of Haute-Savoie in winter, with the advice of your mountain guide on the local fauna and flora.

Discover a breathtaking panorama of the highest peaks of the Bornes massif!

The snowshoeing itinerary starts in Morsulaz, in Haute-Savoie, near Annecy.

You will first go towards the Vuargne, Rutins and Essert chalets. You will find a magnificent panorama of the Chablais massif, the second largest massif in the Northern Pre-Alps and the Haut Giffre massif.

Afterwards, you will reach the Croix de Cenise by walking near traces of wildlife. The snowshoeing tour continues towards the Col de Cenise (1724m), a high plateau at the foot of the high peaks of the Bornes massif, near Annecy.

You will enjoy a picnic towards the Chevry ridge before starting the rest of the loop.

You will finish the snowshoeing itinerary by the vallon du Bronze, a wild and confidential place, in order to enjoy a maximum of snowy landscape in Haute-Savoie near Annecy!

This is a 10km hike, with a maximum altitude of 1740m and a difference in altitude of 550m.

So put on your snowshoes and get away from it all for a winter mountain hike with your guide! Haute-Savoie is full of enchanting landscapes, let yourself be guided and leave with a head full of memories!

Course of events

- Meeting point at 10am in Morsulaz, on the Pellaz car park
- Departure in the direction of the Vuargne, Rutins and Essert chalets
- Continuation of the itinerary towards the Col de Cenise (1724m) via the Croix de Cenise
- Arrival at the Col
- Picnic towards the Chevry ridge, at the foot of the Bornes mountains
- Continuation of the hike through the Bronze valley
- End of the hike around 2:30 pm at the Pellaz car park

Special terms

- No physical condition is required for this activity, you just need to be at least 6 years old.


- Hiking level: WT2 Hiking (max. 25 degrees of slope, steep slope nearby).
