Soar high above the Truyère gorges on the via ferrata of Le Malzieu in Lozère!

The via ferrata of Le Malzieu, with its 2 routes offering different sensations, provides 2 to 3 hours of adventure for families and friends near Saint-Flour and Saint-Chély-d'Apcher. Located at Le Malzieu-Ville in Lozère, the via ferrata of Le Malzieu overlooks the Truyère river, offering great views of the river from 800 to 890 metres above sea level. It is an ideal way to get a bit of height and a bit of adrenaline as you make your way along some vertiginous passages!

Accessible to beginners, the family course is ideal for less experienced climbers, while the sporty course is more suited to people who are a bit more sporty and are looking for a challenge, particularly because of the sections requiring good physical condition. The 2 routes are supervised by a qualified instructor, who will ensure your safety throughout the activity, as well as your enjoyment of the via ferrata of Le Malzieu!

With its footbridge, Nepalese bridges, monkey bridges and 50-metre zip line (optional), the via ferrata of Le Malzieu awaits you in Lozère, less than an hour and a half's drive from Le Puy-en-Velay!

A beginner's course including a Tibetan bridge, a long footbridge, 3 short monkey bridges, a wall and a zip line at the end (optional)

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructor at the car park at the entrance to the path leading to the via ferrata of Le Malzieu

- Distribution and fitting of equipment

- 5 minutes approach walk to the start of the route

- Safety and activity briefing

- Start of the course for approximately 2 hours under the supervision of the instructor

- 15 minutes return walk to the car park at the end of the route

- De-equipping and end of the activity

Activity requirements

Minimum weight: 88 lbs

People with vertigo are not advised to participate in this activity.
