About the activity

Off the coast of the famous Vendée seaside resort of Les Sables-d'Olonnes, the Atlantic currents offer an exceptional playground for inshore fishing enthusiasts, historically renowned for the richness of their waters: sailing beyond the Chaume jetty gives fast access to particularly dense shoals of fish. This trip is specifically designed to target mackerel, a tasty fish whose presence is almost guaranteed in this sector thanks to the P'tit Natien crew's intimate knowledge of the spots.

The experience begins at the Capitainerie pontoon, where the skipper and his team welcome you aboard the P'tit Natien. After a safety briefing, the boat leaves the harbour for a 15 to 45-minute sail, depending on the position of the banks. Once you are in the area, all the fishing gear you need is provided, and the crew will help you master the techniques, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned angler. The boat is equipped with toilets and can accommodate people with reduced mobility, guaranteeing optimum comfort for all participants during the 4-hour trip.

The atmosphere on board is, above all, friendly and authentic. The highlight of the trip is when the lines are hauled in, where the catches often come in quick succession. A unique aspect of this outing is the sharing: you don't just leave with souvenirs, but with your own catch. The crew provides the bags needed to carry your catch at the end of the morning. With a maximum capacity of 30 people, the boat allows you to maintain a group dynamic while enjoying the space you need to fish with peace of mind.

The Sablais coastline offers stable fishing conditions, but each trip is unique depending on the weather and the movements of the fish. Sailing in Les Sables-d'Olonne remains the most direct way of immersing yourself in the local maritime culture, while ensuring a fresh catch for lunch!
