Almost 191 km long and crossing 3 départements, this river rises in the Cirque de Gavarnie and ends its journey in the Landes, joining the Gave d'Oloron: it is an emblematic river of southern France, with rapids that make rafting on the Gave de Pau a must-do in the region!

Classic rafting descent of the Gave de Pau for 1.5 hour

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructor at the Chloro'fil Aventures park

- Allocation of the boat for the descent of the Gave de Pau (depending on the water level of the river, the instructor may redirect you to a boat other than the raft: the canoraft, also known as a hot-dog)

- Change of equipment and preparation in the base changing rooms

- Transfer by shuttle bus to the starting point for the rafting trip down the Gave de Pau

- Start of the descent for 1.5 hour of navigation and crossing class 3 rapids

- Transfer by shuttle back to the park to change (shower available at the base) and finish the activity

Activity requirements

Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Pregnant people are not advised to participate in this activity.

A minimum number of 6 participants is required for this activity to take place.

Special terms

If the water level in the Gave de Pau is not suitable for rafting, the instructor will redirect you to another boat to enjoy your activity: the mini-raft, a smaller raft, or the canoraft (also known as hot-dog) which can take 2 people on board.
