Practical information
Descent of the Bénétant Canyon, sporting level :
- 2 to 2.5 hours in the canyon;
- jumps up to 6 metres high (all optional);
- abseiling to heights of up to 25 metres;
- natural slides (all optional).
Please allow around 3 hours for the whole experience.
- Meeting with the instructor at the Bénétant Canyon car park (free parking)
- Briefing on the activity and distribution of equipment
- Setting up canyoning equipment
- 30-minute approach walk to the canyon
- Briefing on the use of the equipment and safety instructions
- Departure for a 2 to 2.5-hour descent of the Bénétant Canyon
- 10-minute walk back to the car park
- Debriefing of the experience, return of the equipment and end of the activity
Personal liability insurance is compulsory to take part in this activity.
All participants must know how to swim, be in good physical condition and have no medical contraindications to take part in this activity.

Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
A minimum of 4 participants is required to run this activity.

This activity is not accessible to pregnant or disabled people, and is not recommended for people who are sensitive to vertigo or have weak backs.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
If required, the team can rent canyoning shoes at €10 per pair: if you wish to take advantage of this service, please inform the instructor directly once your booking request has been confirmed, as the number of pairs is limited.

Practical information
Located at the foot of the Beaufortain Massif, the Bénétant Canyon offers a sporting canyoning route in Savoie, close to the resorts of the Tarentaise Valley (La Plagne, Courchevel, Méribel, etc.). Comprising several abseiling descents up to 25 metres high, as well as numerous opportunities for jumps up to 6 metres (all optional) and a few natural slides that can be bypassed, this canyon requires you to be in good physical condition, particularly for the 30-minute uphill approach walk, with a difference in altitude of a good hundred metres. So if you are not athletic, opt for another adventure like the Eaux Rousses Canyon!
The Bénétant Canyon takes you on a 2 to 2.5-hour canyoning trip in La Bâthie, between Albertville and Moûtiers. In small groups of no more than 8 participants, you will be accompanied by a qualified and experienced instructor who will look after your safety while advising you on the various techniques required to overcome the obstacles in your path. Some of the abseiling will take place under waterfalls, so you will have plenty of time to cool off and enjoy your adventure! All fully equipped (neoprene wetsuit and socks, helmet, harness, etc.) so you can enjoy the experience comfortably and safely.
