With your friends or family, explore the Fuilla cave and learn about caving in Villefranche-de-Conflent!
Get ready to discover the world of underground caves in the Pyrénées-Orientales thanks to caving. If you have a thirst for discovery, this activity is for you! Thanks to this introductory caving activity in Villefranche-de-Conflent, you will have the chance to discover a cave of the Grandes Canalettes network: the Fuilla cave. This cave is a hibernation site for bats!
Ideal for a family discovery, this caving trip will make you progress in galleries standing up and crawling in the blocks, visit large rooms and of course, will allow you to discover magnificent underground landscapes! In addition to this, you will learn about the underground world through a discovery game.
Accompanied by a state-qualified instructor who is passionate about caving, you are guaranteed to evolve in complete safety, with clean, quality equipment, and to receive good advice. Your instructor will know how to adapt to your level to make you live a beautiful experience, in the respect of the nature, and in conviviality with the group.

- Meeting with your instructor at the meeting point.
- Carpool to the cave in 5 minutes.
- Equipment set up at the cave entrance (helmet with light, clean cotton suit, clean boots).
- Briefing on the course of the trip.
- Exploration of the network for about 2 hours (round trip, with possible variations).
- Return, storage of equipment with the instructor and debriefing on the outing (optional).
Activity requirements
You have to be physically fit and able to move around on varied terrain.
You cannot be claustrophobic or have had a recent fracture.
Inform the instructor if you are taking any medication or have any health problems.
