Near Axat, Quillan and Perpignan in the Pyrénées-Orientales, the via ferrata ‘La Panoramique’ at Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet offers a vertiginous route along a rocky ridge. It is a vertical ascent halfway between hiking and climbing, technical and fairly sporty, making it an experience suitable for people aged 14 and over looking for an adventure to challenge themselves!

Situated on the edge of Cathar country, the Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet via ferrata offers exceptional panoramic views over the Agly Valley to the Mediterranean Sea, including the Cathar castle of Quéribus and the Galamus gorges, as well as the Canigou massif to the south. A 360° view awaits you at the top, once you have negotiated some impressive obstacles including a 25-metre steep wall, 2 monkey bridges and a Himalayan bridge (which can be bypassed). Of course, the state-qualified instructor accompanying you will be on hand to advise you on the best ways to tackle these challenges, while ensuring your safety.

So if you are a fan of outdoor sporting adventures and fancy taking in some incredible views of the Cathar and Catalan countryside, the via ferrata ‘La Panoramique’ at Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet is the place for you!
