Practical information
A discovery dog sled ride in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains from Le Bettex, with a total of 25 to 30 minutes on the sled (4.2 km).
- Ride as a passenger on the sleigh only, ideal for families with children aged 2 and over
- Up to 4 passengers on board the sled (max. 396 lbs / 180 kg)
- Break with a hot drink in a tepee
Course of events
Please allow around 1 hour for the whole experience.
- Welcome at Le Bettex 5 minutes before the start of the activity (a map with the meeting point will be sent to you by the instructor once your booking request has been confirmed, free parking on site)
- Presentation of the dogs in your team (9 to 13 dogs) with briefing on the activity, safety instructions and equipment (approx. 10 minutes)
- Departure for a 25 to 30-minute dog sledding excursion (4.2 km)
- Hot drink in the tepee
- Debriefing of the activity, cuddles and photos with your fellow riders to thank them and bring the activity to a gentle close
Activity requirements
Maximum weight on board the sled: 396 lbs / 180 kg
Maximum number of people per sled : 4 people
All minors must be accompanied by an adult on board the sled.
You should be in good physical condition to take part in this activity.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the activity.
Special terms
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people and is not recommended for people with back problems.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
Depending on the weather, the minimum age for the activity may be increased for safety reasons.
If there is not enough snow on the day of the activity, the instructor can either replace the sled with a kart or suggest rescheduling the outing.

Situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is one of the region's must-visit Alpine villages and part of the Domaine Evasion Mont-Blanc. In winter, there are plenty of outdoor activities on offer, including dog sledding excursions either from Le Bettex or on the Plateau de la Croix. The Antarctic Road team offers you the chance to discover this incredible experience facing Mont Blanc, in the company of a team of 9 to 13 Alaskan huskies, Siberian huskies and cross-bred racing dogs. These adorable dogs have many years' experience and even competition experience, and are only too eager to exercise themselves while pulling your sled along the snowy trails of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains!
Throughout the adventure, you will be accompanied by a passionate musher who loves his dogs and the sport, and who will be delighted to pass on his knowledge of the mushing world. If you wish, you can even help him harness the dogs to your sled!
