Rafting down the Guisane river in Serre Chevalier - Briancon

With family, friends or colleagues, go for a fun rafting excursion down the river Guisane in Serre-Chevalier, an outdoor sport combining fun and nature!

Rafting is a whitewater team sport. Supervised by a guide, the crew paddles down the river aboard an inflatable boat (raft) which usually accommodates up to 8 people. It's a recreational outdoor activity, so you'll be able to discover the landscapes around River Guisane in the quieter moments. You'll also experience big thrills when going through the swirls and rapids!

At the start of each route, the guide will place you in the raft and will explain how to handle the paddle, as well as the safety manoeuvres and rules.

- The Entire Run: Take on the entire Serre Chevalier Valley for an 18km upper and lower river action-packed adventure. Enjoy fantastic views whilst passing through typical and colourful villages such as Monetier-les-Bains, Guibertes, and Villeneuve-la-Salle. Enjoy and take in all the scenery and rapids up to class IV!

River Guisane
The Guisane is 27.7 km long and has its source at the Col du Lautaret on the northern face of the Combeynot massif. From May to the beginning of July, the water level is the highest, ranging from 25 to 30 m3/s. In mid-July, the flow decreases gradually until the end of August. Then, from November to March, there is a long period of low water with an average flow of 1.5 m3/s in January.
