Upon arrival at the port, you'll be welcomed by the captain for a short briefing on the outing, fishing techniques used, and safety instructions. The boat is fully equipped and certified, with secure railings approved by maritime authorities. Life jackets are available on board, though wearing them during navigation is not required. Just make sure to bring weather-appropriate clothing: a warm jacket, waterproof layer, and comfortable shoes.

Then head toward the mouth of the Gironde estuary, a spot known for its rich marine life and stunning scenery. Around the Cordouan lighthouse, enjoy an exceptional setting for sea fishing with family or friends. All equipment is provided: ultralight carbon rods, lures, and accessories. Adults and teens (12+) will try casting techniques using soft lures (Shad) or Jig fishing, while younger children (8–11) will practice vertical jigging with feather rigs known as “mitraillette.” Rods are adapted to age: 2.40 m for adults, 2.10 m for children, for easy and comfortable handling.

Throughout the trip, you may catch emblematic species of the Gironde: sea bass, spotted bass, mackerel, meagre, or horse mackerel. You can choose to keep your catch, respecting size and quantity regulations, or opt for a more eco-friendly approach with No Kill fishing. If you plan to keep your fish, don’t forget to bring a cooler.

This sea fishing excursion from Verdon-sur-Mer is much more than just a fishing session: it’s a moment of sharing and discovery, open to everyone, in a preserved natural environment. Very nice trip, caught multiple sea bass and mackerel. Bass was unfortunately just to small to eat, but we had a nice meal of mackerel that night as we brought 8 home.

J'aurais apprécié que le monsieur aide plus mon père de 80 ans à pêche car il n'avait pas forcément les bons gestes et personne n'était là pour lui dire comment mieux faire. Mon fils de 12 ans n'a pas eu le droit de pêcher au lancer et c'était pas précisé. Sinon belle balade en mer mais un peu déçue du côté pêche qui était l'objet du cadeau.
