Practical information
Course of events
- You will be welcomed by the pilot and his teammates to be driven to the take-off site determined by the wind. The appointment will be made either at dawn between 5 and 7 am to take off at sunrise, or at dusk between 5 and 7 pm to take off before sunset.
- You will then be introduced to the world of hot air ballooning and learn about the safety rules. At the sound of the burners, the balloon inflates and becomes very imposing, an impressive spectacle! It will then be time to settle in the basket.
- The balloon will take height in a few minutes and will fly away slowly. You will be able to appreciate the calm that surrounds you before returning to the ground: the pilot will look for a flat ground, then the basket will be gently braked thanks to the high grass and the balloon will stop.
- Finally, the envelope will be detached from the basket and you will be invited to participate in the folding. After packing everything in the trailer, it will be time to celebrate your flight with the famous balloonist's toast!
The activity lasts 3 hours, including 1 hour of flight.

Discover wonderful landscapes seen from the sky thanks to a hot air balloon flight over the Loire Valley and its castles, close to Tours!
The valleys of the Loire and the Cher are two very close sites which consist of three marvelous castles whose view from the sky is not to be missed:
- The castle of Amboise, hoisted on its ramparts and considered as the cradle of the renaissance. It is a former medieval fortress that became a royal residence under the reigns of Kings Charles VIII and François I.
- The castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire, an ancient fortress, which was built around the year 1,000 to keep an eye on the border between Blois and Anjou. The estate hosts the annual International Garden Festival from late April to mid-October.
- The castle of Chenonceau, a medieval castle from the 12th and 13th centuries, of which only one keep remains: the Tour des Marques. It has the particularity to have been built and transformed over the years by many women with very different characters.
The take-off site for this hot air balloon flight over the Loire Valley is from Chenonceau, Amboise or Chaumont-sur-Loire depending on the wind.
