- Bagless walk near the ice tongue - 30 minutes
- Walk back to the car park - 2 hours
- Return to the car park expected at 4 p.m.

The Glacier Blanc is an alpine glacier sitting at 2,300 metres above sea level in the Hautes-Alpes. Stretching 5 km in length and covering 7 km², it is the largest glacier in the Écrins massif and one of the most spectacular sites in the region. Accessible on foot from the Pré de Madame Carle, it offers a truly unique landscape that the experienced team at Watogla Adventures invites you to explore alongside them.
Recommended for seasoned hikers, this route to the front of the Glacier Blanc takes you through the high-mountain scenery of the Écrins. Throughout the hike, you will make your way towards this magnificent glacier, surrounded by wild, unspoilt nature. Led by a local guide and naturalist, you will learn about the area's wildlife and flora along the way. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a golden eagle, chamois or marmots.
The full day out covers 6 hours in total, including 4 hours 30 minutes of walking, giving you a genuine immersion in the alpine environment of Vallouise-Pelvoux. The 10 km route involves 700 metres of elevation gain, so you will certainly earn your rest. As for logistics, there is very little to organise: lunch is included, and your guide can lend you a spotting scope. Simply come prepared with weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear and your personal belongings in a rucksack.
