Luminy, the campus of Aix-Marseille University, is located at the gateway to the Calanques de Marseille National Park. You will meet your guide in front of this major French university before setting off on your hike through the Calanques de Marseille, taking in incredible panoramic views.

The Calanques de Marseille stretch for around twenty kilometres. Here you'll find surprising landscapes inhabited by wild flora and fauna, with no fewer than 140 protected animal and plant species and 60 marine species.

During your hike in Marseille's Calanques, you'll discover the Calanques belvedere, which offers breathtaking views and great photo opportunities. Then you'll head for the Calanque de Saint-Jean de Dieu, nicknamed the Calanque de l'Œil de Verre (Glass Eye Calanque) because the cavity in the curved cliff above it is similar to the cavity in an eye socket.

During your hike in Marseille, you'll also have the chance to visit the Calanque de Sugiton, where you can admire the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

I really enjoyed it! I wish it would have lasted a bit longer as I don’t think we reached the 5 hours. Also we only saw one of the two calanques mentioned in the description. With the small group and the amazing guide I had a great time and saw some breathtaking places. The guide also brought some good snacks and informative booklet about marine life which was very nice!
