If you have at least Level 1 diving certification, don't miss out on ocean exploration diving in Moorea!
Only available if you have an Open Water or Level 1 certification, this exploration dive in Moorea will take you out to sea, along the coral reef on the ocean side, to discover the incredible richness of the South Pacific Ocean. In a group of 5 certified divers per dive master, you will dive for 40 to 50 minutes where you will have the best chance of seeing a wide range of animals: from a multitude of tropical fish typical of Polynesian waters to eagle rays, green and hawksbill turtles and reef and lemon sharks, you will come away from your exploration dive in Moorea with stars in your eyes!
After meeting the team at the dive centre on Tipaniers beach, a 10-15 minute boat ride will take you to the ocean dive site selected according to the day's sea conditions and your level. You will be diving alongside a Moorea-born dive master who knows the island's seabed like the back of his hand and will spend 40 to 50 minutes introducing you to its incredible wealth. Once your exploration dive in Moorea is over, you will be able to enjoy a coffee or tea at the club while debriefing this exceptional experience with the passionate Scubapiti team.

- Meeting with the team at the centre on Tipaniers beach
- Distribution of equipment and fitting of wetsuits
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Boarding the boat and sailing for 10 to 15 minutes to the diving site
- Launch with the dive master (5 divers per dive master) for 40 to 50 minutes of diving to a maximum depth of 20 to 40 metres depending on your level
- Return to the boat, de-equipment and navigation back to the centre
- Disembarkation, return of wetsuits, debriefing over tea or coffee and end of activity
Activity requirements
A minimum Open Water or level 1 certification of scuba diving is required to partake in the activity.
A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.
Special terms
Once your booking has been confirmed, please contact your instructor directly to let them know the name of your certification level, the date of your last dive and the approximate number of dives you have made in total.
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
