With their impressive wingspans of up to 5 metres, manta rays are one of the most incredible underwater species to be found in French Polynesia. With their majestic appearance and graceful way of swimming, they enchant divers who are lucky enough to be able to observe them. And if you, too, would like to try your luck at seeing them, don't miss this manta ray scuba diving experience in Tikehau! While beginners can take part in a first dive and immerse themselves in complete safety to a maximum depth of 6 metres, divers with at least PE12 or Scuba Diver certification can take part in this adventure, which will take them to depths of up to 10 metres.
It will take you just 10 minutes by RIB boat to reach the manta ray cleaning station in the Tikehau lagoon, your dive spot. Supervised by a dive master, your small group will dive there for around 50 minutes (depending on your consumption and the conditions at sea). If you are very lucky, the manta rays may already be there, being pampered by little fish called wrasse! But even if they are not there, you will still have the opportunity to observe many other underwater species on site: tropical fish, harmless sharks, and so on. All this in water at around 27°C with good visibility, making for a memorable exploration dive in Tikehau.
So if diving with manta rays in Tikehau is one of your objectives in French Polynesia, don't wait any longer to book your underwater adventure with Raie Manta Diving! You will be accompanied by passionate professionals who will be delighted to share with you everything they know about these sublime giants of the sea, while looking after your safety from A to Z.
