PADI Open Water course in Alonissos

The Open Water Certificate

A recognised certificate for divers all over the world. You will have to complete the e-learning courses online in the comfort of your home before arriving in Alonissos. Upon arrival, you will get into 5 knowledge development sessions with 5 sessions in shallow water. Thus you will be able to put into practice what you will theoretically know. Afterwards, you will have to complete 4 open water dives and get your first scuba licence allowing you to dive anywhere in the world down to 18m.

With the Open Water course, you will be able to learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including the scuba diving equipment (scuba gear) and the techniques to position your body in the right way. Anyone who's in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn the Open Water certificate.

The PADI Open Water scuba diver will have a permanent scuba qualification permitting him to dive down to 18m. anywhere in the world. The course can be completed over 3 or 4 days depending on your schedule.

The diving spots

Found in the center of the National Marine Park, the island is a haven for marine life as the area has been protected for many years. All dive spots are located around Alonissos as well as the surrounding deserted islands and will definitely be an experience to remember!! Marine life includes White Seabream, Golden Groupers, Damselfish, Octopus, Dolphins, Salema, Saddled Seabream, Dusky Groupers, Lobster, Brown Meagre, Moray Eels, Cuttlefish as well as numerous different species of micro life!
