Embark on a sea kayaking tour at the foot of Taygetos to explore small islets, hidden coves, and rock formations in Kardamyli near Kalamata. Welcoming adventurers from ages 5 and up!

Kardamyli is a picturesque coastal village located in the Mani Peninsula, in the southern part of the Peloponnese region of Greece. Nestled between the Taygetos Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, Kardamyli is known for its natural beauty, traditional architecture, and rich history.

To begin your adventure, you'll meet the guide at the starting point in Kardamyli, close to the city of Kalamata. The guide will provide all of the sea kayaking equipment, including a stable and easy-to-use single or double kayak with rudders, a paddle, a life jacket, a spray deck, a waterproof jacket, and a waterproof bag. No previous kayaking experience is required for this activity. After a quick safety briefing and instructions, the sea kayaking adventure begins!

You'll begin paddling in the warm turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea, exploring hidden coves, impressive rock formations, sea caves, and idyllic beaches. The guide will tell stories about the histories and legends of the area as you paddle. If you're lucky, you may spot some sea turtles swimming in the secluded coves!

The trip brings you to the iconic Blue Cave, a spectacular natural phenomenon where sunlight passing through a crack in the cave reflects an aquamarine colour on the seafloor. You'll break for a swim in the mesmerising waters of the cave. On the way back, you'll navigate rock gardens emerging from the sea.

Midway through the excursion, you'll stop at a beautiful sandy beach. You'll have free time to relax and sunbathe on the beach or swim in the crystal-clear waters. A delicious picnic lunch consisting of freshly baked bread, handpicked vegetables, extra virgin olive oil dips, local cheese, and fruits of the season will also be served. After lunch, you'll paddle back to the starting point in Kardamyli.

Explore the magnificent coastline of Mani from Kardamyli in Greece on a fun guided sea kayaking tour!
