The kite centre is located on a huge property, offering a lot of beach space. Professional kitesurfing equipment is available for rent and also used for training courses of all levels. Currently, there are about 70 kites and 40 boards, which are well-maintained, guaranteeing you have the best gear. Restrooms, water showers, as well as washrooms for your equipment are available for you when needed. In addition, there is a cosy chill-out area, WiFi, and compressors to inflate your kite for you. There is also warm and cold food and beverages available, which you can enjoy in the hammocks or sun loungers.
For each course, you will start by learning the basics from the certified instructor. You will go through some basic knowledge about the wind and the weather conditions. In Theologos, the Meltemi wind blows all day long. It starts off low in the morning, optimal for beginners, and picks up around midday, becoming stronger in the afternoon. Towards the evening, a small wave, perfect for jumps and surfs, arises on the sandbank just 30 meters offshore.
After going through the assembly and disassembly of your kite, bar and lines, how to launch and land the kite, and kitesurfing safety, you are ready to set off into the water! You will go through kite control, water launch and methods for self-rescue. The guide will ensure your safety throughout the entire course. For the longer sessions, you will go through more advanced techniques such as landing on the board during planing, proper alignment of body and board, and tips and tricks for independent practice. There will be opportunities for breaks throughout the course.
