Discover the unknown nature of Rhodes Island on a mountain bike tour and enjoy a full day in the unspoilt nature of this beautiful island. Welcoming adventurers from ages 7 and up!

Rhodes is the largest and most popular of the Dodecanese group, situated in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Greece. Rhodes is an ideal place for cycling as there are numerous routes, all with a good quality surface and a variety of gradients. The island’s natural terrain and its unique environment offer exciting remote routes for mountain biking leading to clear waters as well as forest roads.

The bike tour begins with pick-up from your specified location. The experienced guide will transfer you to the starting point of the activity. You will start by getting prepared for the ride, receiving your equipment and a quick safety briefing. All bikes are Specilised Hardrock, 26er and 29er. The mountain bike equipment matches the rider’s body type and all participants will be provided with safety gear. Every experience level is welcome on this tour!

The route starts off downhill, passing through Malona, a small village located on the southeastern coast of the island. You will cycle by the Malona orange grove, where oranges grow in abundance due to the Mediterranean climate. There will be a short stop at the village's main church, where you have time to stroll around the village and rest.

After recovering, you will continue cycling along the Gadoura River, heading towards the source of the river, Gadoura Falls, a small but impressive waterfall. The guide will then lead you through a forest of olive trees, heading towards the vineyards that surround the village of Masari. These vineyards produce some of the best wine in Rhodes!

The next viewpoint on the tour is Gadoura Bridge, built by the Italians in the 1930s. Rhodes is an island rich in history, here you'll have the opportunity to explore some old battlements from World War II. The guide will share some facts and insights about these historic ruins. After a short break here, you will continue along a dried-out river bed. You'll also cycle past the runway of an old airport.

The final stop on the tour is the beach! The Greek islands are known for their beautiful, sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters. To end the ride, you will enjoy a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters. Some traditional Greek snacks will also be served. After recuperating in the sea, the guide will take you back to your original pick-up point in Rhodes.

This mountain bike tour is the perfect way to discover some off-road routes in Rhodes and learn more about the history of the island!

The day was flexible and we felt like an easy ride rather than the uphill climbing so our tour guide was first rate and you could tell he was passionate about Rhodes and the environment and was full of historical and greece facts and knowledge.
