Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is a beautiful Greek island located in the Ionian Sea. It is well known for its beautiful beaches, turquoise waters and vibrant nightlife. On this tour, you will discover the more remote destinations of Zakynthos off the beaten track.
The adventure begins with pick-up from your specified location in Zakynthos by the experienced guide. You will travel in a comfortable 4x4 Land Rover, seating up to 6 passengers. Get comfortable as the guide begins the scenic drive, sharing insights and facts about the region along the way. To begin, you’ll head towards the captivating vistas of Agia Marina, Giri, and Loucha, taking breaks on the way to capture some photos.
The next stop on the journey is Exo Hora, home to one of the world’s oldest olive trees. You will learn more about this historical spot and how the olive oil is produced. After, you will head towards Porto Steniti, Zakynthos’ hidden gem. This secluded spot has picturesque rocky beaches and pristine waters, a magnificent location! Continuing on the journey, you will drive through Anafonitria Village, arriving at the Church of Agios Georgios Krimnon. This spot offers panoramic views of the island.
As you explore Orthonies Village, you'll also step into the Bottega Museum, offering a glimpse into Zakynthos' past. Here, you can see a replica of a traditional Zakynthian home, sharing original stories of past lifestyles and daily routines. The final stop on the tour is the Monastery of Panagias Spileotissis. After visiting this historical site, a traditional Greek lunch will be served. Indulge in the flavoursome meal, before the guide drives you back to your pick-up point in Zakynthos.
