Activity description

Discover the richest marine nature reserve in Guadeloupe by stand up paddle and with a local guide!

Get away from the shore and explore the emblematic mangrove forests of Guadeloupe during an unforgettable stand up paddle excursion in the heart of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin natural reserve.

Starting from Babin beach, in Morne-à-l'Eau, this stand up paddle trip will allow you to navigate as close as possible to the mangrove, passing around the Rat and Macou islets. An ecological and peaceful way to connect with the local biodiversity, the stand up paddle will offer you the privilege of observing the incredible environment of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin bay in complete serenity.

SUP is a family sport that requires balance, coordination and good navigation. You will learn the basics on Babin beach in Morne-à-l'Eau before setting off so that everyone feels at ease on the water. Your stand up paddle instructor will then be able to take you to the most picturesque and peaceful corners of the marine nature reserve, where no boat can access. A real privilege only possible with your stand up paddle boards!

Protected from the waves by coral reefs, the Grand Cul-de-sac marin nature reserve in Guadeloupe allows you to experience SUP excursions on flat water, with minimal wind resistance and large areas of natural shade. So there is no reason to hesitate to come and discover this emblematic place of Guadeloupe!

Course of events

Departure from Babin beach, in Morne-à-l'Eau. You will sail along the coast and its mangrove, passing through Anse Babin, then Anse du Figuier, before passing to the right of the Rat islet. You will then sail to the Macou islet where you will pass under wonderful tunnels of red mangroves before going back down to the Rat islet, and finally return to Babin beach along the turquoise water of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin bay.
