Enjoy 9 hours of relaxation and discovery in the wide bay of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin by catamaran from Petit-Canal!
If you are looking for a carefree day out in Guadeloupe, with the chance to discover some magnificent natural scenery, this catamaran excursion in the Grand Cul-de-sac marin from Petit-Canal is the perfect getaway for you! Aboard a catamaran with all the comforts (trampolines, shaded area, bathing ladder, toilets, etc.) in which you will be a maximum of 16 passengers (apart from the 2 crew members), all you will have to do is let yourself be guided by the skipper who will take you to 2 of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin's must-see islets.
Departing from the fishing port of Petit-Canal, south of Port-Louis, you will embark on a 9-hour catamaran excursion in the bay of the Grand Cul-de-sac marin, a protected maritime area home to a rich ecosystem that the crew will be delighted to introduce to you. Your first stop will be the coral reef off the coast of Islet Fajou, an incredible snorkelling site in Guadeloupe! You will have pool noodles and paddles at your disposal, but it is up to you to bring your own snorkelling gear (masks and snorkels) to make the most of Guadeloupe's rich seabed.
Once this relaxing break in the turquoise waters is over, you will head to the Macou islet to discover a completely new environment, in the heart of a mangrove jungle. After a delicious Creole lunch on board, you will visit Macou islet on foot, then enjoy a paddle session in the mangroves to round off your catamaran excursion in the Grand Cul-de-sac marin in style! Whether you are with friends or family, you will be sure to have an exceptional time in the heart of a paradise setting, in the company of a crew who will take great care of you!
- Meeting with the crew at the fishing port in Petit-Canal
- Boarding of the catamaran, followed by a briefing on the day's programme and safety instructions
- Departure for a 9-hour excursion in the Grand Cul-de-sac marin's Bay
- Sail for 1.5 hours to the coral reef at îlet Fajou, where you can relax and swim (don't forget to bring your masks and snorkels!)
- At 11.30 a.m., sail to Macou islet for an aperitif (1 hour's sail), then lunch on board the catamaran (on the menu: raw vegetables with fish rillettes as a starter, grilled chicken and mixed rice as the main course, cake and fresh fruit for dessert, and water, ti-punch, juice, coffee and rosé wine as drinks), then a visit of the Macou islet and paddle tour in the mangrove until 4 p.m.
- Sail back to the fishing port, arriving around 4.45 p.m. to end the activity
