Once you have your first dive, you can take the second step: the Open Water certification, which gives you the title of certified diver and is internationally recognised!

The Open Water is the first step to obtain an international level in scuba diving. If you have always wanted to learn to dive or to live a new adventure, it all starts here with Noa Plongée in Saint-François, Guadeloupe!

PADI and SSI are the most recognised diving qualifications in the world. Millions of people enjoy a taste of adventure during the official certification process. You will learn how to use and maintain your diving equipment, plan and conduct dives, and anticipate and manage problems.

Open Water is based on 3 main phases:

. Developing your theoretical knowledge online at home (SSI theory kit downloadable on smartphone) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving.
- Diving in a protected environment such as the lagoon of Saint-François to learn the basic techniques.
- Dive in the sea to put into practice the techniques acquired in the lagoon and explore the underwater world.

Taking the SSI course in the lagoon of Saint-François is probably the best opportunity you will have to learn scuba diving in Guadeloupe, in an environment that is conducive to learning and discovering the underwater fauna and flora.

Content: 3 dives + online theory (SSI application downloadable on smartphone)
Course: 3 shallow dives in the lagoon (2 pm - 4.30 pm) over 3 afternoons. Each dive includes an exercise part and an exploration part.

Objectives

At the end of the Scuba Diver qualification, you will have the necessary skills to dive to 12 meters as part of a team of divers. You will receive a Scuba Diver qualification card.

Activity requirements

Level of expertise: must have completed your first dive.

All participants must bring a medical certificate from their doctor dated within the last 3 months stating that they are allowed to practice this activity.

Special terms

Diving is prohibited for pregnant women and people who have medical conditions that could be aggravated underwater.

Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.

The Open Water is the first international level of scuba diving.

Content: 6 dives + theory

Course: the first 4 dives take place in the lagoon of Saint-François, from 2pm to 4pm. Each dive includes an exercise section followed by an exploration of the coral reef.

The last two dives are only done in the morning from 7.30 am to 12 pm as a double dive, i.e. 2 successive dives with a 45 minutes break on the surface during which you will be offered a snack on board the boat.

These are two exploration dives which allow you to put into practice all the knowledge acquired during the dives in the lagoon. Then, the theory part of the training will be done when you return to the club.

Objectives

At the end of the Open Water course, you will have the necessary skills to :

- to evolve up to 18 m in pairs in autonomy abroad,
- to evolve up to 20 m in a team of 4 divers maximum supervised by a diving instructor in France.
