Guided Hike in Howth from Dublin

Please allow 6 to 7 hours in total for this activity (including stops for snacks, lunch and transport by bus to and from meeting location).

• Welcome & check-in - Meeting point, welcome, identity check, introduction and overview.
• From close to the city centre, take a bus (1 hour) or train (30 minutes) along a coastal route to arrive at the historic fishing village of Howth
• Embark on a hike of approx 4 hours duration with a variety of terrain and scenery and learn about the the fascinating history of the headland:
• Historic fishing village
• Sea cliff walk overlooking the Irish Sea and Dublin Bay
• The first gas-lit lighthouse in the world
• Trek narrow trails through a variety of flora
• Pass through secluded coves
• Scale the headland and enjoy stunning panoramic views
• Rhododendron Gardens
• 12th Century Castle
• Arrive back in Howth village
• Refreshment / lunch stop (optional) : Choose to lunch in a local pub or bring your own packed lunch to eat al fresco to stunning views.
• Sample the sites and sounds of the historic fishing village before returning to the city by bus or train.
• Return to city centre by train or bus

Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.

All minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

You must not have any medical contraindications to take part in this activity.

All participants must sign an insurance waiver on-site.

A minimum number of 5 participants is required to run this activity.
