Have you ever wondered what it feels like to breathe underwater? With this discover scuba diving experience in St Paul's Bay, Malta, you can finally find that out! Accompanied by a professional instructor, you'll dive for 40 minutes, reaching a maximum depth of 12 m (59 ft)!
- A maximum of 4 beginner divers per group for greater safety.
Course of events
- Meet your instructor at French Touch Diving - Orion Court, Triq Tamar San Pawl il Bahar, SPB 1283, Malta.
- Briefing, registration and equipment.
- Transfer to the diving site in St Paul's Bay by car.
- Theoretical lesson.
- Breathing exercises.
- 40-minute dive starting from the shore with your dedicated instructor.
- Return to the diving centre.
Activity requirements
You must know how to swim and be in good physical condition to take part in this activity.
If you suffer from any of the health problems mentioned, you must obtain a medical certificate from your doctor before diving : diabetes, epilepsy, cholesterol, surgery in the last 12 months, narcolepsy, blood pressure, ear or sinus problems, heart or lung problems, asthma, disability, panic attack, etc.
You cannot fly on the day of your first dive.
This activity is available for people from 10 to 70 (if no health problems and in good physical condition).
Special terms
If you have poor eyesight, choose contact lenses, as you won't be able to keep your glasses on under the mask.
This activity is not available to people of sizes larger than XXXL or over 47.

Renowned for its stunning coastline and turquoise waters, St Paul's Bay is one of the most popular scuba diving spots in Malta. Located on the northeastern end of Malta Island, near Bugibba Beach, St Paul's Bay is home to a vibrant marine life. With a professional instructor, you'll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving in St Paul's Bay and dive down to 12 m (39 ft) depth.
Your instructor will wait for you at the diving centre near Bugibba and drive you to the scuba diving site in St Paul's Bay. They'll brief you about the activity and teach you how to use the equipment. They'll also show you the safety rules and diving techniques before trying scuba diving for the first time. This theoretical lesson will make you feel comfortable about breathing underwater. Then you'll dive into the water for a 40-minute first dive experience in St Paul's Bay directly from the shore! Hand in hand with your instructor you'll reach 12 m in depth and try the unparalleled feeling of breathing underwater.
Anyone above 10 years old and able to swim can try scuba diving. All you have to do is follow your instructor all the way!
