Located on the eastern coast of the island, Sliema is a premier diving destination known for its clear Mediterranean waters and unique rocky coastline. This 3-day SSI Open Water course is designed to take you from a complete beginner to a confident, certified diver. By the end of the program, you will hold a globally recognized certification allowing you to dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters anywhere in the world with a buddy.
The course is structured into three distinct phases to ensure a logical progression:
- Digital Learning: You will complete the theoretical portion online at your own pace, covering essential principles like buoyancy, pressure, and safety procedures.
- Confined Water Training: In calm, shallow conditions, you will practice core skills such as mask clearing and regulator recovery to build your confidence.
- Open Water Dives: You will complete four dives in the sea, applying your skills in real diving conditions while exploring the local marine life.
The team at Diveshack will guide you through the entire process, focusing on a safe and steady learning pace without rushing the fundamentals. During your time in the water, you will learn how to plan dives, manage your equipment, and maintain control underwater.
