Exploration dives for certified divers in Le Marin, Martinique

Graduates of Level 1 diving minimum, come and explore the exceptional aquatic environment of the diving spots of southern Martinique!

If you already have a Level 1 diving diploma or higher, don't hesitate to go on an underwater adventure in Le Marin, Martinique! You will enjoy a guided tour with an experienced instructor who will show you the fauna and flora of the coral reef in the south of Martinique.

Be prepared to visit several spots from Sainte-Anne in the east to Diamond Rock in the west, for a single trip or a double dive for more fun! You can also choose between a morning or afternoon trip, the only real restriction being the air in your tank.

The dive sites are chosen according to the weather conditions and your diving level, while respecting the environment.

Borgnese Point

Site for all, from beginners to advanced divers.
The anchorage near the coast offers a sheltered area ideal for beginners. The shallow water under the boat (4/5m), the turquoise water studded with darker patches ("coral potatoes") invites the diver to come and discover the Martinique seabed.

Beginners will stay on the plateau in the middle of swarms of small coral fish (castagnoles, damsels, juvenile gorettes, etc.).

Caye des Boucaniers

A site for everyone but more exposed on the surface, often agitated.
Beginners dive on the shallow plateau, on the edge of a drop off richly populated by a jumble of multicoloured sponges (yellow, purple, orange and blue). It is not uncommon to come across Royal Angels or French Angels, as well as large paddlefish!

On the 12 meters deep plateau you will find a compact ball of yellow pikefish in a tightly packed row.

The Aquarium

It says it all in the name: an interesting and richly populated site, ideal for PE12 and Level 1s!

In the 7 to 15 m zone, you will observe schools of gorettes in all directions, stealthy passages of kingfish, wandering manioc in the water, trumpet fish looking for their meal, etc. And don't forget to poke around in the holes: you'll find lobsters!

The 3 Valleys

Site for certified divers, from 10 m to 40 m!
A coral garden with a gentle slope and large coral spats along the sandy slopes. The descent under the boat is often done in the middle of the manioc schools, curious kingfish pass and repass along the dive.

Ti' Mur/Voilier

Very nice site, accessible to all.
Under the boat, the descent is made over ten meters, on the plateau, near the drop off. The beginning of the drop off is well marked, quite steep and then gently slopes down over 20 meters.

At the path, you will go along the "wall" in search of lobsters, moray eels and lambi, without forgetting to raise your head to observe thazards, barracudas or maniocs which pass over your heads! Then, you will cut the plateau to go and meet the schools of paddlefish, gorettes, etc.

Blue Garden

Site for experienced divers, from 19 m to 40 m. The descent is into the blue under the boat at 19 m, a sandy plateau with large coral spats!

In the vicinity, a school of platax comes to meet the divers! The schools of manioc and bogues go by at full speed and watch out for the numerous lion fish! On 14 m, a small wreck of a modern sailing boat shelters goldfish (mombins).

Garden of Sainte-Luce

Off Sainte-Luce, this site is remarkable for the diversity of its corals!
The 7 meters anchorage on the plateau allows all levels of divers to dive. The banks of maniocs pass by, the kingfish follow one another in the open water, and the mounds of coral and the large fan gorgonians are impressive!

Caye Philippeau

Off Sainte-Luce, the anchorage on the plateau allows a descent to 10 meters, the drop off nearby allowing all levels to remain within their prerogatives as divers from 10 to 50 m: to each his own zone of evolution!

You will sometimes come across stingrays 'flying' at the bottom of the drop off, and quite often a large and beautiful barracuda wandering around the area.
