Climb to the highest point in Mauritius with a guide on this hike to the Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire!
Accompanied by a local guide who knows all there is to know about the flora and fauna of Mauritius, this hike to the Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire offers you a rewarding escapade to the highest point on the island, at 828 metres above sea level. In the heart of the jungle of the Black River Gorges National Park, you will be able to observe endemic biodiversity, which your guide will be delighted to introduce to you: birds, monkeys and Mauritian plants that you will see throughout the outing!
For around 4 hours, you will set off to climb the Piton de la Petite Rivière Noire, a hike with a steep gradient that requires you to be in good physical condition. Once you have reached the top, you will be rewarded with a 360° panoramic view of the whole of Mauritius: your guide will take your photo to show you the breathtaking views of the Black River Gorges National Park, the lagoon in the south-west of the island and Le Morne Brabant mountain, so you will have an unforgettable experience!
