Spend 30 minutes to 1.5 hour of pleasure while riding around Cascavelle on Mauritius!

From 30 minutes to 1 hour for everyone, and up to 1.5 hour for independent riders, the horseback rides at La Cascavelle proposed by the Cavalia club promise you a very pleasant moment of relaxation on Mauritius. You will have the pleasure of riding in the middle of nature, between the sugar cane fields, the Rempart mountain and the Papayes river, just a stone's throw from Flic en Flac and Tamarin!

Cavalia's instructors will offer you the opportunity to spend a special moment with your horse by helping prepare him for the ride, a moment not to be missed to create a bond with him before getting in the saddle. Chosen according to your size and level, the horse will allow you to spend a superb ride around Cascavelle with, if the itinerary invites you, a passage in the shallow water of the Rempart river or the Papayes river to refresh you! Beginners will enjoy a walk, with their horse held in a lanyard, while the more experienced will be able to trot, and why not do a little gallop!

This horseback ride in Cascavelle, near Flic en Flac and Tamarin, will make you feel the emotions of Mauritius. Between magnificent landscapes and contact with the animal, you will be sure to leave the club with wonderful memories that will make you want to get back on a horse very soon!

Course of events

- Welcome of the participants, presentation of the place and signature of the discharge of responsibility at the office

- Distribution of horses and/or ponies according to the size and level of the riders

- Dressing of the riders: compulsory riding cap, and boots for the confirmed riders

- Presentation of the horses and ponies before grooming and dressing the horses (participants can try this if they wish)

- Mounting of the horse, then departure for the 30 minutes ride (at a walking pace and held in hand for beginners)

- Back at the stables, the riders can if they wish participate in the care of the horses: undressing, showering, etc.

Activity requirements

Maximum weight: 120 kg

Plan to come 30 minutes before the start of the ride for the formalities, then stay 30 minutes after the ride to participate in the care of the horses.

Special terms

The rides are done in groups of 10 riders maximum: if you are more, you will be divided into several groups that will take turns to ride (the groups waiting for their turn will be occupied by the team at the club).

The guide should have been on horseback so we didn’t have to go so slow. Would not even let the participant that has riding experience do anything over a walk. Assumed we would be walking alongside a river but it was all out in the open just around the streets and down some green areas. The view was nice but expected more.

it was very nice. we had a beautiful view of the mountains at Cascavelle while horse riding and they gave us 1 hour instead of 30 minutes without charging us for it. Perfect morning activity that's also suitable for kids! We definitely recommend.
