Activity Snapshot
Activity description
Enjoy a leisurely hike on the coast around Bergen, be moved by the sea's many states, and maybe spot sea eagles! Reconnection with nature and its forces is a guarantee!
The coast around Bergen, including Sotra, Fjell, and Øygarden, is ideal for leisurely walks near the sea. If we're lucky, we might see some sea eagles or meet local fishermen.
Some 10,000 years ago, the ice receded, leaving behind thousands of islands strung together, as if on a string. Outside of Bergen, there are over 550 of them. This coastal experience is breathtaking and truly humbling, making it well worth the journey outside of the center of the city!
Only a 40-35 minute drive away from Bergen, there are an array of coastal activities, from delicious seafood restaurants to beautiful hiking paths. We offer the option of meeting in the center of Bergen or picking you up at your accommodation to embark upon this unforgettable adventure!
A few tips about walking by the sea:
Pay attention to the forecast and advice from your guide.
Don’t go too close to the waves in bad weather. Large waves can break onto the shore, so don’t go too near the edge!
Stay dry, keep well away from the waves and enjoy the fantastic weather Bergen has to offer!
