Activity description

Discover Norway's beautiful winter wonderland, traverse remote landscapes on snowshoes and in the company of huskies! A perfect experience for those who want to try something completely different while making the most of their time outdoors.

Once you've met your guide at the meeting point, you'll set off on the 25-minute drive to Kvaloya, Norway's fourth-largest island. There, you'll tour the kennel and meet the dogs before gearing up in winter clothing and snowshoeing equipment. That's when the adventure begins! Your furry friend will be tied to your waist and will accompany you throughout the excursion. But if you'd rather snowshoe solo, no problem! Participants can choose a husky-free option.

During the trip, you'll see the magnificent fjords and mountains surrounding Tromsø. You might even spot wildlife like reindeer, moose, and different species of birds. Weather permitting, you'll stop for a break. Your guide will build a fire and serve snacks with warm drinks. You'll relax on reindeer pelts and savour the moment before continuing onward! If the weather takes a turn, snacks and drinks will be served around an open fire at the cabin instead.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity and book your ticket today!

Very nice experience, the hot chocolate, cakes and marshmallow around a fire were delicious. We had the opportunity to see where the huskies are living and even saw and cuddle some puppies.

Highly recommended! Fantastic snowshoeing experience.

A wonderful experience if hiking outdoors is something you're into. Definitely a great experience, even for a first timer like myself. Getting to see parts of nature that aren't accessible was a treat. Added bonus to be able to have a retired sled dog join us and pull us along!

Snowshoeing- very well organised, friendly guides who were helpful, even arranged for us to have hot drinks and delicious chocolate cake around an open fire halfway through the walk. All abilities taken care of. Even had one of the huskies accompany us. We loved it!!!!

It was an activity not on top of our list, but eventually it was the best trip we did in Tromsø. Next time I will definitely do the overnight trip!
