Come and hike through the Bussaco National Forest, one of the most special forests in Coimbra!
The Portuguese city of Coimbra is famous for its university, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. Besides the University of Coimbra, the medium-sized city has a particular charm that leaves no one indifferent, not to mention the natural landscapes that surround it, among which the Bussaco National Forest stands out, at 549 metres above sea level and which enjoys a specific microclimate and biodiversity.
Portugal Travel guides take you on a hiking tour to the Bussaco National Forest, where you will enjoy the biodiversity and nature of Coimbra for 3 hours. Instructors will pick you up from your accommodation to take you to the Bussaco forest. This is a circular route that starts in the gardens of the Palace Hotel along the Via Crucis path, passing through Paço de Caifaz, Fonte Fria and Vale dos Fetos, a simple excursion that is perfect for children and adults alike and that will enchant you with its landscapes!
