Practical information
For certified divers only, enjoy 2 dives of 35 to 50 minutes each and explore the best dive spots in Lagos to a maximum depth of 18 meters. One guide takes a maximum of 5 certified divers.
The possible dive sites include Mos Wall, Canyons, Mos Mamas, High Stones or Anchors and they are chosen taking into account the weather and sea conditions, as well as the divers level.
Course of events
Please allow 5 hours on site to enjoy this activity.
- Meet your instructor at the Divecenter
- Gear up (30 minutes) - the equipment will be prepared in advance for you
- Walk to the marina (5 minutes)
- Load gear onto the boat and leave the marina
- Boat trip to the dive site and briefing (5-10 minutes)
- First exploration dive (35-50 minutes under water)
- Surface stop to enjoy a break with coffee and chocolate cookies + change of dive site (20 and 30 minutes)
- Second exploration dive (35-50 minutes under water)
- Return to the marina (5-10 minutes)
- Arrival at the marina
- Unload equipment and return to the dive center
- Debriefing and end of the activity
Activity requirements
This activity is reserved for certified divers. You must be able to present a valid certification to carry out the activities. Example of accepted certification: Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Advanced Adventurer, Scuba Diver, Level 1 Diver, Level 2 Diver…
For this activity, you must not have any of the following contraindications : respiratory problems (exertional asthma), heart problems, ENT problems, lung problems, diabetes or epilepsy. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us or ask for medical advice.
Written parental authorisation is required for minors to participate in this activity without an accompanying adult.
Special terms
For safety reasons, please note that you will need 18 hours after the dive to be able to fly.
If you take prescription medications, you will need to contact your instructor after booking to inform them.
You cannot bring personal items on the tour. Personal items must be stored at the dive center.
This activity is not accessible to pregnant women, people with mental disorders or people with physical disabilities.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.

Lagos is a charming coastal town in Portugal's Algarve region, renowned for its spectacular beaches, golden cliffs and rich historical heritage. For divers, however, Lagos is the perfect place for exploration diving in the Algarve! There, you'll find exceptional sites with underwater rock formations, sea caves and wrecks. Around you, you can also spot octopus, rays, lobsters and other fish.
The professional team of Lagos Divers instructors will be waiting for you in Lagos. After welcoming you, they will provide you with all the diving equipment you need (wetsuit, regulator, mask, etc.) before accompanying you to the boat that will take you to your dive site. Although the boat can accommodate up to 14 people, there will be no more than 5 participants with the guide to guarantee you the best experience.
A short boat trip of 5 to 10 minutes will take you to your first dive site. Then, accompanied by your instructor who specialises in the region, you can get in the water to discover Lagos' first dive site. Your first dive will last between 35 and 50 minutes, then you'll take a break on the boat before continuing with a 2nd exploration dive of the same duration in the clear waters of the Atlantic.
There are many dive sites in Lagos, including Mos Wall, Canyons, Mos Mamas, High Stones, Anchors and many more. Your instructor will choose the most suitable site according to the weather and your level. In any case, whichever site you explore, we can guarantee that you won't be disappointed by the exceptional underwater scenery along the Algarve coast!
Located just 30 minutes from Portimão, these exploration dives in Lagos are an opportunity not to be missed if you're a certified diver visiting the Algarve!
