Leave for one of the most mythical canyons of Reunion Island, the canyon of Fleurs Jaunes in the heart of the Cirque de Cilaos!

The canyon of Fleurs Jaunes is the pearl of the Reunionese canyons: between strong sensations, aerial passages, swims in beautiful basins and obstacles to be overcome without any technical difficulty, it is accessible to all those in good physical condition and in search of adrenaline!

The canyon of Fleurs Jaunes starts gently on a superb gorge where four pools and abseiling slides from 12 to 20 meters follow one another, facing a splendid panorama on the Cirque de Cilaos and the Piton des Neiges. There follows a 55 meters high abseil, at first sight impressive but nevertheless very easy to realize because it can be done on the back, facing the void (abseiling slide).

The descent of the Fleurs Jaunes canyon ends with two abseils, the first one of 35 meters and the second one of 20 meters, then with a well deserved picnic break to breathe and enjoy the surroundings. It will then be time to leave for the return walk, a little steep and physical by a "sentier cabris" (escape route) where you sometimes have to use the rope: your half-day in the canyon of Fleurs Jaunes will end on an unforgettable sporting note!

Practical information

Course of events

- Reception at the meeting point at 7.30 a.m.

- Journey to the start of the course: 20 minutes

- Equipment: 30 minutes

- Approach walk: 10 to 15 minutes

- Briefing: 15 minutes

- Time to descend the canyon: 3 to 4 hours

- Return walk: 45 minutes to 1.5 hour

- End of the trip around 1 p.m.

Activity requirements

Children can participate as long as they are at least 1.40 meter tall, weigh at least 30/35 kg for safety reasons in case of strong water movements, and are accompanied by an adult.

It is necessary to be able to swim to participate in this activity and to have no medical contraindications to the practice of canyoning.

A minimum number of 6 participants is required for this activity to take place.
