Course of events

Arrive at the Plongée Salée dive centre in L'Étang-Salé, 10 minutes before the activity's start.
You are welcomed by your instructor, who will equip you and explain how the session will unfold.
Begin with a pool session to get used to the diving equipment, learn how to breathe through the regulator, and build confidence underwater.
After a water break and a briefing, head to the nearby beach for your sea dive.
Enjoy a 40-45 minute guided dive in the calm, shallow waters of L'Étang-Salé, right on the edge of Réunion Island’s protected marine reserve.
Discover colourful reef life, tropical fish and the unique sensations of breathing underwater, all at your own pace, under close supervision.
Return to the dive centre, rinse off with a hot shower and enjoy a refreshing drink.
Receive your official first dive certificate and browse fish ID booklets to identify the species you encountered.

Course of events

Back at the centre, take a hot shower, sip a refreshing drink, and browse fish ID charts to recognise the species you saw.
To wrap up, receive your official first dive certificate, and your dive video to keep as a souvenir of your underwater adventure.
