The Bureau Montagne Réunion will accompany you off the beaten tracks of the Piton de la Fournaise for a hike during which you will explore the famous faces of the volcano, between the lava flows to discover its incredible landscapes and secrets.

Accompanied by an experienced guide, you will learn about the many past eruptions of the still active Piton de la Fournaise volcano and its history on an off-the-beaten tracks hiking itinerary that is not accessible without a guide. This is a technical and sporting hike of 12 km at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters, so it is necessary to be in good physical condition!

You will be walking at an altitude of over 2 000 meters, where it can be very cold and where the weather conditions can change very quickly (rain, fog, wind).

The terrain is very steep and the lava is very sharp if you fall. The minimum age recommended is 12 years.

Bureau Montagne Réunion offers daily outings with no minimum number of participants, for a guaranteed departure from the first reservation.

For group outings, your guide will lead the outing in French. If you want to do your tour in English, Italian, German or Spanish you can choose the private option.
