The sun slowly sets over the pastel-coloured facades of western Sardinia, casting long golden shadows across the time-worn cobblestones. Taking part in this guided tour and photowalk starting from Bosa offers a unique visual and cultural immersion in the heart of one of Italy’s most picturesque villages. The shimmering reflections of the Fiume Temo, the island’s only navigable river, echo the vibrant colours of the historic houses clambering up the hillside. The late afternoon light, renowned among artists for its exceptional clarity, offers the perfect setting to learn the art of framing and composition alongside a professional photographer.
Guided by the ORA BLU LAB team, you’ll wander through the medieval quarter of Sa Costa, learning how to capture the natural light that filters through the narrow alleyways. From the imposing heights of Castello Malaspina to the bustling shores where traditional boats bob up and down, every stop is an opportunity to capture the essence of Sardinia. You’ll also discover local craftsmanship by exploring Bosa lace, an ancient embroidery tradition preserved by the village women, before capturing the twilight on the Ponte Vecchio.
Open to everyone, this relaxed walking experience requires no prior technical photography skills; all you need is a smartphone or your usual camera to take part. The activity takes place in a small, friendly group of no more than eight participants to ensure personalised guidance and advice tailored to each individual. It’s the perfect opportunity to master simple exposure techniques whilst soaking up the intimate atmosphere of the hidden alleys of the old town, far from the usual tourist crowds.
Run from May to October to coincide with the season’s most beautiful light, the tour is constantly adapted to weather conditions to ensure you enjoy the best views. Book your guided tour and photowalk from Bosa now and get ready to capture the magic of the Sardinian sunset whilst sharing a glass of Malvasia di Bosa!
