Practical information
A 1.5-hour whitewater kayaking trip down the Soča River from Bovec.
- Experience accessible to beginners on a 6 to 8 km section of the Soča River, with class I to II rapids
- Use of large, stable sit-on-top inflatable kayaks
- Small groups of 12 participants maximum, with 1 guide for every 4 participants
Course of events
Please allow around 2 hours and 45 minutes for the whole experience.
- Welcome at the Fröccs Vadvízi Klub base in Bovec, 15 minutes before the start of the activity (free parking and toilets on site)
- Check-in and payment of the river tax (€3 to €6 depending on the season)
- Meeting with the instructor and briefing on the activity
- Distribution of equipment, fitting of wetsuits in the base changing rooms and storage of your personal belongings in secure lockers
- Transfer by vehicle from Fröccs Vadvízi Klub to the river
- Disembark the kayaks and take them down to the river
- Safety briefing with explanations on kayak rafting
- Launching the kayaks
- Departure for a whitewater kayaking trip down the Soča River, on a 6 to 8 km section with class I to II rapids
- At the end of the trip, kayaks are unloaded and stowed on board the vehicle
- Transfer back to base
- Removing your equipment and possibility to use the shower facilities
- Viewing of photos taken during the kayaking trip and end of the activity
Activity requirements
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
A minimum of 2 participants is required to run this activity.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant people.
The base has a kennel for your dogs while you carry out your activity.

That is why the Froccs Rafting Club team is offering kayak rafting trips from Bovec, an incredible sport that is great fun and challenging, either on your own or in pairs, as you tackle the river's class I and II rapids! Are you ready for a sensational adventure, surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery?
To go kayak rafting on the Soča River from Bovec, you will board sit-on-top inflatable kayaks. Large enough for up to 2 passengers and stable, these kayaks are ideal for white-water rafting and are a real thrill! Unlike a traditional raft, which can take up to 9 passengers, you will be alone on board, with the instructor in his own kayak to guide you down the river. Each small group of 4 people will be supervised by 1 instructor, ensuring optimum safety throughout the experience. Whether you have tried whitewater sports before or this is your very first time, kayak rafting on the Soča River is accessible to as many people as possible from the age of 8.
