Whitewater SUP Excursion on the Soca River from Bovec

This exciting whitewater SUP excursion will take you on a downriver adventure on the Soca River! All levels of experience are welcome.

The Soca River is approximately 138 kilometres long (86 miles) and flows through Slovenia and Italy. This Alpine River is bordered by impressive mountains and is characterized by its fast-flowing waters. As such, it's the perfect place to try whitewater SUP (stand-up paddle boarding)! 

After you've met your experienced guide at the Bovec Paddleboarding base, you will board a comfortable van and be shuttled to the starting point. Once you've arrived at the location, you'll receive a briefing on whitewater safety and basic SUP and paddling techniques. Then, with your life jacket fastened, the adventure begins! In the company of your guide, you'll embark upon a fun-filled journey on the Soca River.

Don't worry, if standing up proves too hard for you when going over the rapids, you can always sit down and be assured of the paddleboard's stability (which is more stable than a kayak). About halfway through the excursion, you and your group will stop at a beautiful spot where you can have a snack and snap some photos. Once you're rested and refreshed, you'll paddle down the Soca River until you reach the activity endpoint.
