Activity description
Experience a via ferrata adventure and discover the incredible views above the picturesque village of Mojstrana!
With your IFMGA-certifed guide, you'll embark on an exciting, 2-3 hour climbing excursion to the top of the rocky Grančišče hill where you'll be able to take in the breathtaking sights of the Julian Alps and the Karawanks, one of the longest mountain ranges in Europe.
Via ferrata (which is Italian for “iron road”), is essentially a climbing route where climbers can secure themselves with an iron cable along the route or use climbing aids so that dangerous, high altitude routes can be accessed more securely as you climb to the top.
Depending on your experience, you'll have the choice between two different via ferratas that are both 180 meters high and 250 meters long: The easier via ferrata is called Aljaževa pot (grade level B) and is suitable for novice climbers, while the more challenging via ferrata is called Pot Mojstranskih veveric (grade level C/D) for more experienced climbers.
Get ready to climb these secured paths and discover the majestic views from above in “the greenest country in the world."
