Guided E-bike tour in Jonkershoek Nature Reserve from Stellenbosch, near Cape Town

• Check-in at Lanzerac Trail Centre, set in a historic vineyard district of Stellenbosch – 10–15 min
• Safety talk and E-bike fitting, route briefing and gear check – 15 min
• Guided E-bike ride into Jonkershoek Nature Reserve, along scenic gravel roads lined with Cape fynbos, skirting the Eerste River and climbing gently toward the mountains – 60–75 min
• Arrival at hiking start point, park bikes and prepare for the walk – 5 min
• Guided hike to Jonkershoek waterfall, a beginner-friendly 3.5 km round trip, following a forested trail with shaded sections and views over mossy streams – 25–30 min (one way)
• Break at the waterfall, with time for photos, relaxation, and a refreshing swim in the plunge pool (weather permitting) – 20–30 min
• Hike back to bikes via the same trail – 25–30 min
• Return cycle to trail centre, downhill or flat terrain depending on route – 15–20 min
• Gear drop-off and debrief with the guide at Lanzerac – 5–10 min

The minimum height to drive solo is 1.50 m (4.9 ft).

The maximum weight for this activity is 120 kg (265 lbs) per participant.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people

Children aged 4–9 can ride only as passengers.
