Practical information
A guided hike up Table Mountain lasting approximately 3 to 4 hours on the India Venster trail, returning to the starting point via cable car (ticket at your own expense).
- Exceptional panoramic views from the summit over Lion's Head, Camps Bay, Clifton, the Atlantic Ocean and the City Bowl district
- Moderate/difficult level hike, including sections of light rock scrambling and use of hand grips (no climbing experience required)
- Includes transfer from your accommodation in the City Bowl area and surrounding areas, as well as the Atlantic coast, but does not include the return transfer, which is at your own expense
Course of events
Please allow up to 6 hours for the whole experience.
- Pick-up from your accommodation in the City Bowl area and surrounding areas, or along the Atlantic coast (please be ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time)
- Transfer by van or SUV to the starting point of the hike, where you will find toilets (approximately 15-20 minutes' drive from central Cape Town)
- Briefing on the route of the hike and safety instructions
- Departure for a 5 to 6-hour excursion to Table Mountain (toilets available at cable car stations and cafés):- ascent to the summit (between 3 and 4 hours, approximately 3 kilometres with a 700-metre elevation gain)
- break at the summit to enjoy the view (between 30 and 45 minutes)
- descent to the starting point by cable car (about 5 minutes, at your own expense) or via the Platteklip Gorge trail if you wish, and weather conditions permit
 
- Return to the starting point and end of the activity (return transfer to your accommodation at your own expense)
Activity requirements
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.
Please be ready 15 minutes before your pick-up time.
A minimum number of 2 participants is required to run this activity.

⚠️ Please note that the return transfer to your accommodation is not included: you will need to either arrange this yourself via Uber or arrange it with Cape Summit Adventures once your booking request has been confirmed (you will then be required to pay a supplement).

This activity is not accessible to disabled people and is not recommended for people with vertigo, knee, respiratory, or heart issues.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
