I can’t recommend this activity enough! It feels like flying, there’s the most amazing release being so high, it’s like you’re on top of the world. I would even recommend this to people who have a fear of heights because at no point do you feel like you’re in free fall. You feel 100% secure the entire time, and when you run off the hill, you’re in the air before you’ve reached the edge. The most amazing experience, I would love to start every day like this. The only down side is the weather- because it’s so precarious and can change within an hour, we had to rebook our flight twice. This was obviously no one’s fault and I applaud the instructor and owner of Icarus for being so safety conscious, but it can affect your other plans, so just something to be mindful of. It’s worth getting in touch with your instructor an hour or two before flying.

The most exhilarating thing to do, was so amazing. The views were incredible and the feeling of flying was better than I imagine. We booked it on a whim last minute and were so glad we did. We managed to go off Lions Head and had a good long flight.
