Located on the southern tip of the African Continent is the vibrant city of Cape Town! Cape Town's coast is home to diverse species of marine life. From whales and dolphins to the Great African Kelp Forest, there is so much to see when scuba diving in Cape Town!

Scuba diving in Cape Town offers an incredible experience for experienced and beginner scuba divers alike. What better way to immerse yourself in this incredible region than by taking a scuba diving excursion with 2 boat dives, allowing you to choose between seeing a kemp forest, coral reef, or shipwrecks! Don't have your PADI-Open Water Certification? No problem, snorkelers are also welcome to join the fun!

Your scuba diving in Cape Town adventure begins after being picked up from your accommodations in central Cape Town (please specify when booking) or you can choose to meet onsite. Either way, upon your arrival at the diving centre, you and your group (a maximum of 5 participants) will be greeted by your experienced and certified scuba diving instructor. After a safety and itinerary briefing, you'll receive your scuba diving equipment, which includes one tank per person. Now, the fun starts! You'll board the boat and your Captain will chart a course for the first diving location of the day, the Kelp Forests of Cape Town! En route, you'll enjoy the stunning panorama as you go, don't forget your camera!

Did you know that kelp forests are recognized as one of the most productive and dynamic ecosystems on Earth? In addition, they can grow up to 30 metres (98 feet) in length. When diving in the Kelp Forests of Cape Town, you'll be enchanted by the changing and mysterious light. Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for marine life, if luck is on your side you may see octopi, small sharks, various species of fish, and more!

Your Cape Town scuba diving excursion continues to the next dive site, either the Soft Coral Reef or one of Cape Town's many historic shipwrecks! Along the way, as you skim across the water on the boat, you may observe other shipwrecks, seal colonies, whales, dolphins, and penguins against the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains that surround Cape Town, a truly unique and memorable experience! At the Soft Coral Reef you will be greeted by the distinctive colours of the coral in this area, including purple, orange, brown, and various shades of pastel!

Where shipwrecks are concerned, Cape Town has over 800 wrecks – not surprising since the Cape Peninsula is also know as the Cape of Storms! You will be able to explore fascinating wrecks from the Dutch and English East India Companies, the British Royal Navy, WW1, WW2, and so much more! These wrecks also often attract unique coral reef and a variety of marine life too. At the end of the day, you'll return to the orignal departure point with lifelong memories of your time spent scuba diving in Cape Town!

For an unforgettable underwater adventure in South Africa, don't miss this scuba diving excursion in Cape Town!
