Get to know the mountains of Asturias with a snowshoeing route!

Do you like hiking in the mountains but in winter you can't because of the snow and skiing is not your thing? In that case, we suggest you try snowshoeing! A sporting activity in which you walk on snow with snowshoes, which allow you to move forward to enjoy beautiful landscapes without getting wet or sinking. And what better way to do it than in the Cantabrian Mountains!

Asturias is a paradise for hiking lovers and in the winter season its mountains are the perfect place to walk with snowshoes because thanks to the altitude of its peaks you will enjoy views that will take your breath away.

The Naturaller team will be waiting for you at the parking lot of the Bar Restaurante La Braña to start from there a circular route in which you will visit Pico Torres (2104 meters high), Pico Ausente (2041) and the Fuentes de Invierno (ski resort) in the Natural Park of Redes. Depending on the weather conditions, the instructors will propose you one route or another.

Don't worry if this is your first time snowshoeing, this activity is designed just for you. The guides will teach you how to use the snowshoes, some notions of basic safety and mountain techniques. In addition, this is a team with more than 10 years of experience in the sector; so in case of change of weather conditions, the state of the snow or avalanches, they will know how to act in this regard.

You can choose between a 3km route suitable for all types of public without previous experience or fitness or a 6 km route, recommended for those who do some physical activity or are used to go out in the mountains. In addition, twice a month, you can enjoy a night tour under the spotlight of the full moon. Do you have a dog? Don't leave him at home and let him come and have fun with the snow, he is more than invited!

Ready to get started in this sport and enjoy the mountain regardless of the season?
