The Catalan Pyrenees is the eastern part of the Pyrenees that stretches from Cap de Creus, on the Costa Brava, to the Aran Valley. With 220 kilometres of extension, in the Catalan Pyrenees we find more than 400 lakes, valleys with exuberant peaks such as the Pica d'Estats, beautiful mountain villages such as Camprodón or Taüll and the only national park in Catalonia: the National Park of Aigüestortes i Estany de San Maurici. Hiking or skiing is undoubtedly the activity par excellence to enjoy the landscapes of the Catalan Pyrenees, but if you are looking for a more original plan, a snowmobile excursion in the Aran Valley can be an unforgettable and fun plan.
The instructors of Mountain Live Travel offer you a 14-kilometre snowmobile excursion through the Val d'Aran, starting at Banhs de Tredòs, where the bikes are parked. From there you will start the excursion and go through the valley passing by the entrance of the Aigüestortes National Park (Circo de Colomers). A snowmobile ride that you can do alone or with your partner or friends and where you will enjoy the beautiful snowy landscapes of the Pyrenees while respecting the natural environment and the excursionists. In addition, you will stop for lunch in a refuge and you will be able to taste the typical gastronomy of the Pyrenees such as Aranese pot or beef chop, which will allow you to get your strength back and warm up before the end of the excursion!

- Meeting in Salardú and transfer in your own car to the snowmobile parking at Banhs de Tredòs.
- Departure with the snowmobiles for a 14-kilometre route through the entrance to Aigüestortes National Park (Colomers Cirque).
- Stop for lunch at a refuge at 13.45h.
- Return by snowmobile to Banhs de Tredòs.
Activity requirements
Bring snow clothing and footwear for the cold and the mountains as well as gloves and ski goggles.
Special terms
You can go to the motorbike parking at Banhs de Tredòs from Salardú by your own car or with transport provided by the instructor upon prior request and for an additional fee.
Please inform the instructor in case of allergies or specific dietary requirements. The refuge menu includes: homemade pâté with tomato bread and toast in the centre of the table, Aranese stew, grilled beef chop, dessert and Viñas del Vero wine. Vegetarian and vegan options are available (on request).
The price is per snowmobile, not per person (1 snowmobile 2 people).
It is possible to take one snowmobile per person with an extra charge of €45 per snowmobile (please inform the instructor in advance).
